Chicago Bulls player rankings at the quarter mark: The incomplete tier

To start off the list, we’re going to take a look at the few Bulls’ players that have an extremely limited body of work through the first 20 games of the regular season. It’s not really fair to give a definitive ranking for these players since they’ve only got a few games and limited minutes under their belt at the outset of the regular season.

Marko Simonovic, C

The former 2020 second-round draft pick of the Bulls and rookie big man Marko Simonovic didn’t even get to make his NBA debut until earlier this week in the Bulls’ Nov. 22 loss to the Pacers at home. Simonovic has only played in seven games in one regular season game thus far, where he did at least get his first career point.

Tyler Cook, F

Although what we saw from the former Detroit Pistons two-way contracted forward Tyler Cook was impressive in a dozen minutes played, he’s only got action in one game thus far. Cook has spent most of his inaugural season with the Bulls with the G-League affiliate Windy City Bulls.

Devon Dotson, PG

It feels like the player in this incomplete tier that is the closest to breaking into the rotation at some point this season is the former undrafted free agent signing and second-year point guard Devon Dotson. Showing flashes in limited minutes in the last couple of seasons, Dotson should get this opportunity to shine before too long with the Bulls.

Doston has appeared in two games so far this season for the Bulls, playing in around 13 minutes. But all of his minutes came in garbage time thus far.

Patrick Williams, F*

Second-year forward Patrick Williams rounds out the incomplete tier. While he does technically meet the qualifications I’ve outlined on the next part of the list to get out of this tier, he gets an exception since he injured his wrist last month and will likely miss the rest of the regular season after playing in just five games.
