Chicago Bulls: 3 adjustments Donovan must make to end losing streak
What will hopefully be the worst two-game stretch of the regular season slate for second-year head coach Billy Donovan and the Chicago Bulls took place earlier this week. It all started for Donovan and the Bulls back on Nov. 22 at home at the United Center, when they fell short in convincing fashion against head coach Rick Carlisle and the division foe Indiana Pacers.
The Bulls wound up falling short to the Pacers by the final score of 109-77. That was the first really convincing loss on the season so far for the Bulls against a team with a losing record.
Yet, matters got worse for Donovan and the Bulls on the road at the Toyota Center on the night of Nov. 24. The Bulls were downed by a lowly Houston Rockets team that came into this game with just one win on the season. That meeting with the Rockets resulted in a loss for the Bulls by the final score of 118-113.
How Billy Donovan and the Chicago Bulls can right the ship after two bad losses?
Coming into that game, head coach Stephen Silas and the Rockets were sporting a whopping 15-game losing streak.
There are a number of areas of improvement that we need to see out of the Bulls if they want to right the ship heading into the weekend. Donovan and the Bulls are facing another stretch of back-to-back games on Nov. 26 and 27, coming against the Orlando Magic on the road and the Miami Heat at home.
Here’s a look into three adjustments that Donovan must make in order for the Bulls to snap this losing skid before it reaches three or even four games heading into the weekend.
