So much explosiveness, athleticism, and purity for the Chicago Bulls. So much talent, skill, and ability. So much passion, effort, and desire. So much hope, ambition, and aspiration for a playoff berth and championship. So much to live for during these next seven months here in Chi-town, that this list could go on for days, hours, years, etc.

With the assistance of DeMar DeRozan making a living in the air displaying a one-of-a-kind killer mid-range jumper, this eases up the process a little bit and has also brought a serious amount of entertainment to the Chicago Bulls fans and whole organization. Let’s cut to the chase. Have you ever seen a purer jump shooter put on the Bulls uniform?

Well, maybe setting aside Michael Jordan. Have you ever witnessed a more explosive athlete get to the rim and finish? Have you ever seen a guy that will do whatever it takes to win by flying all over the court every possession?

This, my fellow friends and readers is the definition of Mr. DeRozan. We picked up a phenomenal one from the San Antonio Spurs and are now reaping the benefits.

DeRozan has been putting on a show this season escalating his scoring average game in and game out. He is currently ranked in the top five in the NBA in scoring (5th) at 26.6 PPG. His consistency has been good, and his overall performances are bringing in the dough to the United Center on a nightly basis. Zach LaVine is also providing his typical scoring prowess with a 26.2 average, not far off from DeRozan’s. The duo is proving to the basketball world why we have such a great thing going in the Windy City.

You turn on a Bulls game, and you know what you will see? You will simply see a bunch of guys running around the court who just know how to play the game of basketball. You just see it, immediately. The savvy, the high IQ’s, the knowledge of the game, the athletic ability, the passes, the talent level, etc. This Bulls squad is something spectacular, let me tell you. We are only going to get better, and it’s still very early yet.

With Lonzo Ball dishing out dime after dime letting his talent shine with 4.5 assists pre game, we got our backcourt cake loaded with every candle possible. Ball delivers some “woah” and “wow” dimes to fellow teammates to leave the crowd in awe. His floor game is at an utmost high and DeRozan and LaVine are the praisers in return.

Alex Caruso has had some breakout games in his first season with the Bulls and is doing work on the defensive end. He’s putting up 2.5 steals per game, which is a team-best. Nikola Vucevic is providing his usual force on the boards at 10.9 rebounds per game. Many of the reserve guys are providing some quality minutes. Derrick Jones Jr. is averaging 6.5 points per game, as well as one block.

Coach Billy Donovan has to be pleased with his team’s effort over the course of the first half of this 2021-2022 season. This Bulls team is a fun one to watch, and they are showing people what they are truly capable of doing. The Bulls are currently third in the Eastern Conference (10-5), and can surely make their way back up to the No. 1 slot.

We are stacked in this conference with plenty of talented teams all over the standings, both high and low in the rankings. The Miami Heat and Brooklyn Nets are just one game ahead of us in the East. This is the neat thing about the NBA; you never know who’s going to come out on top every night and the rankings are always colliding and changing.

The Bulls beat the Los Angeles Lakers, 121-103, this past Monday with a big win against a solid team. They then lost a nail-biter to the Portland Trail Blazers Wednesday night, 112-107. They take on the Denver Nuggets tonight, Nov. 19, at 8:00 p.m. in Denver.

They conclude this busy week with a home game against the New York Knicks on Sunday, Nov. 21, at 7:00 p.m., at the United Center.

In conclusion, the Bulls are on the path to becoming a championship-caliber team. The things I see out of each of these guys are incredible, and they are definitely a team with tremendous individual talent.

Next. Trade targets that should elevate Bulls contender status. dark
