The Chicago Bulls were possibly the most active team during the offseason that was. Executive vice president of basketball operations Arturas Karnisovas and general manager Marc Eversley put together a very solid free agent signing class from the 2021 offseason, thanks mostly to some big-time sign-and-trade deals.

There were already signs of progress and investment from the Bulls’ front office last season. Under the direction of then first-year head coach Billy Donovan, the Bulls nearly had a double-digit win improvement from the 2019-20 season to 2020-21. Yet, the 31-41 record that Donovan and the Bulls finished up with last season wasn’t quite enough to crack the postseason.

Some of the bigger moves that the front office made at the trade deadline last season included adding star center Nikola Vucevic from the Orlando Magic, shooting guard Javonte Green from the Boston Celtics, and shooting guard/small forward Troy Brown Jr. from the Washington Wizards. And those are just the players that the Bulls acquired at the trade deadline last season that are still on the roster.

But the moves that the Bulls’ front office made during the summer months were what really put this team in a position to be a playoff contender in the Eastern Conference this season. The Bulls are surely off to a promising start after all of the big offseason moves too.

After beating the Dallas Mavericks and Brooklyn Nets in the last two games, the Bulls are now building a winning streak throughout the thick of this difficult portion of the early-season schedule.

With that in mind, here’s a look into three of the offseason signings for the Bulls that are already blowing people away.
