The Chicago Bulls take on the Dallas Mavericks, a game in which I will personally be in attendance. The Bulls have been one of the hottest teams to bet on this season. Their 7-3 record places them second in the Eastern Conference. On top of that, the Bulls also have a 7-3 record against the spread.

The Chicago Bulls are favored by 3.5 against the Mavericks. Is this a good bet?

WynnBet’s NBA odds have the Bulls favored by 3.5 points against the Mavericks. The Mavericks are on a three-game winning streak, versing Boston, San Antonio, and New Orleans in those games. I would consider them hot, but I still have the Bulls taking this game and covering the spread. Here’s why; A factor I look at for the Bulls on a game-to-game basis is what teams do the Bulls match up well against.

In my opinion, the Bulls’ biggest weakness is their interior defense. Vucevic is a below-average defender and although Tony Bradley is starting to come in to give the Bulls good defensive minutes, he is still only in the range of 10-15 minutes per game.

In the Bulls’ two back-to-back losses against the Sixers, superstar center Joel Embiid was able to have a major impact offensively and was consistently able to get into the post and play his game.

The Mavericks’ primary big men are Kristaps Porzingis and Dwight Powell. Despite Porzingis’s 7-foot-3 stature, he is not a threat to take even Vucevic in the post. Porzingis rarely will do work in the paint and will have a large portion of his shots come from deep. In terms of Powell’s scoring output, I am not too worried about him. Powell is a valuable role player but will rarely even attempt north of five shots per game.

The most important task when facing the Mavericks is containing superstar Luka Doncic. This season, Doncic is averaging 25 points, eight rebounds, and nearly seven assists. And he is off to a slow start. Locking down Doncic is a tough task, but the Bulls are well equipped to do so. Guards Lonzo Ball and Alex Caruso will likely defend him most of the game.

Two of the best backcourt defenders in the game and the two best on the Bulls. They have played excellent defense to start the season, and I am confident they can keep it up against Doncic. Forward DeMar DeRozan may also take some time guarding Doncic. DeRozan has been a solid defender so far.

All in all, I like the Bulls to cover the spread of 3.5 and win by 13. My prediction for the score is 121-108. The Bulls should grab their eighth victory of the year.

My favorite player prop: DeMar DeRozan over 22.5 points

WynnBet’s NBA player prop odds have DeRozan over/under for points is 22.5. This is super disrespectful for DeMar and I am calling it out. DeMar is averaging 27 points and has had over 23 points in each of the last five games.

DeMar is always able to play his game. In every game this season, DeMar has put up 15 shots or more. He plays just about 35 minutes per game and is shooting over 50 percent from the field.

DeMar is hot and I do not see him slowing down against the Mavericks.

Parlaying these two bets have a total odds of +250. Place a 10$ bet to payout 25$. I am placing this bet and am confident it will hit.
