Chicago Bulls studs from win over the Nets: Zach LaVine

The potency that the Bulls have in store this season in the star duo of shooting guard Zach LaVine and shooting guard/forward DeMar DeRozan was put on full display in this game. DeRozan registered a team-high 28 points, four rebounds, three assists, one steal, and three turnovers.

But it was LaVine that had the more complete game for the Bulls on this night. It was a difficult decision to pick the first stud on this list for the Bulls in the win over the Nets. But the complete performance from LaVine helps to get him the edge, despite the poor night he had shooting from downtown.

LaVine finished up this game with 24 points, five rebounds, five assists, one steal, one block, and one turnover. And he shot 10-of-17 from the field, 0-of-4 from beyond the arc, and was perfect on four attempts from the free-throw line.

On most nights, LaVine is not going to shoot this poorly from downtown. But if he can show this type of complete performance on both ends of the floor, we’re in for yet another special season from the first-time All-Star shooting guard.

We will also see LaVine get to the free-throw line more often on most nights when he is in this type of rhythm compared to the two times he went to the stripe on Nov. 8.

This was not an easy night for LaVine defensively. He was assigned to guard Harden for much of the game and held up well in the process.
