The win that second-year head coach Billy Donovan and the Chicago Bulls needed to try to bounce back from a two-game losing streak coming out of the weekend happened at home at the United Center on the night of Nov. 8. Coming off two straight losses, both of which came at the hands of the Philadelphia 76ers in the last week, Donovan and the Bulls rebounded nicely on Nov. 8 against the Brooklyn Nets.

With the Nets still missing star point guard Kyrie Irving, the Bulls were able to make a big second-half run. And the Bulls needed that following the Nets’ dominant showing in the second quarter, which they won by a score of 30-16.

The Bulls won three of the four quarters in this game, to get the win in the end by the final score of 118-95. This is one of two very impressive wins on the regular season that the Bulls have at home thus far. The other impressive home win this season came over the Utah Jazz at home back on Oct. 30.

Despite the game-high 38 points that superstar forward Kevin Durant registered in this game for the Nets, the Bulls were able to come out in top in the end. Fellow Nets superstar and guard James Harden was held to 14 points, five assists, and four turnovers.

What really powered the Bulls in this game was holding the Nets to less than 40 percent shooting from the field and outrebounding them by a margin of more than a dozen. With that in mind, here’s a look into two studs, and one dud, from the Bulls win over the Nets on Nov. 8.
