Although second-year head coach Billy Donovan and the Chicago Bulls are currently dealing with the first losing streak of the regular season so far, this still looks to be a promising campaign ahead. Donovan and the Bulls are currently sitting on a two-game losing streak following two losses to the Philadelphia 76ers in the last week.

There were a few things exposed by the Sixers in the two latest losses for the Bulls. This team still has some major strides to make to compete in the Eastern Conference this season. First and foremost, star center Nikola Vucevic has to step up to truly become a key part of this potential big three.

And the Bulls also have to get tougher in the frontcourt unit. Even if Donovan and the Bulls are planning on running with mostly small-ball lineups in the second and third unit, and the frontcourt needs to be able to rebound better and have a stronger inside presence, especially on the defensive end of the floor.

This Bulls team has potential, and the way that the front office built out the roster since the trade deadline last season is a big reason why. One thing that can’t be overlooked is the fact that the Bulls got a lot of players that the Los Angeles Lakers were either interested in or used to play for them.
