Despite the solid start for second-year head coach Billy Donovan and the Chicago Bulls out of the gates this season, there is still a lot to prove for this team moving forward. In the midst of one of the most difficult stretches of the regular season schedule right now, the Bulls still have a plethora of difficult opponents coming up.
The difficult phase of the early-season schedule that the Bulls are currently in the midst of really started last weekend. And the Bulls passed one of their first major tests of the difficult phase of this early-season schedule. Donovan and the Bulls responded in a big way to hand the Utah Jazz their first loss of the regular season last season.
Chicago Bulls have some key players struggling while most of the team has improved out of the gates this season
That was a spot where the Bulls needed to bounce back in a meaningful way after they lost by a slim one-point margin at the hands of head coach Tom Thibodeau and the New York Knicks at home at the United Center roughly 10 days ago.
One area the Bulls have to improve in is with some of the players that are unexpectedly struggling out of the gates early in the regular season. A handful of Bulls players aren’t meeting expectations through eight games this season, and hopefully, that will change in the very near future.
For the Bulls to keep the train rolling in the coming days and weeks, they need these lagging players to pick up the pace soon. It won’t be easy in the next few games for the Bulls as the team gets set to take on the 7-2 Philadelphia 76ers at home at the United Center on Nov. 6.
