Chicago Bulls: 5 most hated Scottie Pippen rivals ever
Hated rivals of Chicago Bulls legend Scottie Pippen: Bill Laimbeer
The other former Pistons player that was a huge rival also of Pippen, Jordan, and those great Bulls teams of the 1990s is the former tough-guy center, Bill Laimbeer. As a key part of the “Bad Boys” Pistons teams of the 1980s and early 1990s, Laimbeer is definitely one of the most notable rivals among individual players of the Bulls during this time period.
The hate from Laimbeer in terms of any individual Bulls player definitely mostly went to Jordan over Pippen. But there was always friction between the likes of Pippen and Laimbeer in the roughly two decades since both NBA careers were officially done.
The good thing between Laimbeer and Pippen was the fact that most of their bigger plays between each other were just big in-game moments that always didn’t end up in the other coming away unscathed. Pippen likely got multiple bruises from trying to go into the paint with Laimbeer. And there were times where Pippen embarrassed Laimbeer with dunks, creative moves, and key assists.
There was never really a dull moment between Laimbeer and Pippen, especially when the two met in the playoffs as members of the Pistons and Bulls, respectively. There are so many moments to look back on between Pippen and Laimbeer, sometimes after the whistle, that shows the haste between these two players.
