Let’s try something new for the Chicago Bulls following a tough loss, the second on the season for second-year head coach Billy Donovan and his squad. The Bulls fell short to the Philadelphia 76ers and superstar center Joel Embiid on the road on the night of Nov. 3. And we’re going to take a look at two duds and one stud for the Bulls in this loss, instead of the usual two studs and one dud.

We got to see a Bulls team that continued to struggle oftentimes throughout the first three quarters of the game, only to really get going in the fourth. The Bulls did outscore the Sixers 26-19 in the fourth quarter, but it wasn’t enough to get the win in the end. The Sixers came out on top here by the final score of 103-98 at the Wells Fargo Center in Philly.

This loss for the Bulls proved a couple of very important points for the coaching staff to hammer home moving forward. The first is that star shooting guard Zach LaVine has to spread the ball around more effectively when it comes to clutch time.

This was yet another game where we saw pretty extreme highs and lows from LaVine in game. And while that is going to happen from time to time, it’s pretty clear that LaVine is still having some trouble adjusting to playing through the thumb injury on his non-shooting hand.

The second point here is that the Bulls need more production out of the bench. The lack of production from the bench in this game proved that an overreliance on the usual top scoring duo for this team can’t work against playoff opposition like the Sixers.

With those points in mind, here’s a look into two duds, and one stud, for the Bulls in the Nov. 3 loss to the Sixers.
