In the midst of the final week of the preseason, it’s almost time for second-year head coach Billy Donovan and the Chicago Bulls to turn the focus to the regular season slate. The Bulls have one game remaining in the preseason slate before the regular season tips off. And the Bulls are off to quite the start through three games in the preseason.
Donovan and the Bulls hold a record of 3-0 through the first three-quarters of the preseason slate. In their most recent game in the preseason, the Bulls held on to top the Cleveland Cavaliers on the road at Rocket Mortgage Fieldhouse to round out the weekend by a narrow one-point margin.
The other two wins for the Bulls in the preseason thus far came in dominant fashion at home at the United Center over the Cavs and a shorthanded New Orleans Pelicans team. The Bulls opened up the preseason with a win at home over the Cavs on Oct. 5 by a score of 131-95.

And then, the Bulls topped the Pelicans at home on Oct. 8 by the final score of 121-85. It was impressive for the Bulls to nab two wins to start off the preseason, both by a margin of 36 points. But the most recent preseason game was a lot closer.
The final preseason game this year for the Bulls comes back at home at the United Center on Oct. 15 against the Memphis Grizzlies. That will be the last game that the Bulls play before the regular season tips off on Oct. 20.
In the regular season opener, the Bulls will take on the division foe Detroit Pistons on the road. The home opener during the regular season is set for Oct. 22 against the Pelicans. The Bulls look to have plenty of momentum headed into those two games to begin the regular season.
