Chicago Bulls: 3 superstars AK should be eyeing early this season
Superstars the Chicago Bulls should be watching: Bradley Beal
Maybe the most likely superstar on this list to be moved sometime in the next calendar year is the Washington Wizards three-time All-Star shooting guard Bradley Beal. The Wizards are definitely in a transition phase right now, and that could cost them Beal in the end.
The scenario where it feels like the Bulls would be most likely to go after Beal is if it somehow doesn’t work out with LaVine in contract talks in the coming season and offseason. Beal would bring a similar scoring presence to the table as a two-guard that LaVine does for the team at this point in time.
A combination of LaVine and Beal, while it would be very explosive on offense, would potentially be very cluttered. LaVine and Beal are both high-volume, high-usage, star two-guards that aren’t great on the defensive end of the floor. Since the Bulls are already bound to have enough of a challenge to get LaVine and DeRozan to mesh together on defense, it doesn’t make much sense to go out and get Beal too.
In a world where the Bulls do lose out on LaVine, in a likely scenario where contract talks just don’t work out between the two parties, Beal would be a solid replacement. This is something to keep an eye on as a contingency if things don’t pan out with LaVine.
I do want to mention that I still believe that contract talks will work out with LaVine in the end. But since this piece is done with the idea of a long-term view for Karnisovas and Eversley, it is worth mentioning that Beal could be a solid insurance policy on the trade market to keep in mind for the Bulls.
