Superstars the Chicago Bulls should be watching: Zion Williamson

If the New Orleans Pelicans aren’t able to right the ship anytime soon, then it could come time for their star forwards to look elsewhere. There are already some early indications that it just might not work out for the Pelicans with the rising star forward duo of Brandon Ingram and Zion Williamson.

But in a world where the Pelicans aren’t able to hang onto these two star forwards, Zion would likely be the more highly sought after of the two.

If Zion were looking to take his talents to a bigger market with a franchise that is really starting to right the ship, the Bulls would be an interesting landing spot for him. Zion hitting the trade block would bring just about every front office to the table in discussions. But bigger market teams like the Bulls, New York Knicks, Los Angeles Lakers, etc., could have an edge here.

Zion has tried to make it work through two seasons thus far with the Pelicans, and they have yet to even make it to the postseason with him in the lineup. If the Bulls are able to make at least a decent postseason run this season, it would go a long way to impressing stars that are still on the come-up like the former Duke Blue Devils stud Zion.

If the Bulls are able to hand LaVine a sizable contract extension by the time next offseason arrives, it would be really intriguing to have a core in Chicago that features the likes of him and Zion. Where DeRozan and star center Nikola Vucevic could fit into that picture is still unknown. But this potential star duo would be something that the Bulls could really form a title contender around.
