The day has arrived for the Chicago Bulls that was long-awaited since free agency began. Tip-off for the preseason slate is here at the United Center on the night of Oct. 5 against the divisional foe Cleveland Cavaliers. Second-year head coach Billy Donovan will get his first look at this new-look squad he’s got against a notable former player from the Bulls.

This will also the first look that the Bulls faithful gets at some of the new top new additions during the offseason. The Bulls went all out during the summer to try and move this team into postseason contender status. With the rebuild not going anywhere fast, the front office decided to shift the direction the franchise was headed.

Zach LaVine and Nikola Vucevic return to spearhead the Chicago Bulls new-look starting five

Executive vice president of basketball operations Arturas Karnisovas and general manager Marc Eversley brought in a few new pieces that will be starters, or at least occupy key bench roles, for the Bulls heading into the season.

Some of the highlighting new additions for the Bulls during the offseason include star shooting guard/forward DeMar DeRozan, point guard Lonzo Ball, guard Alex Caruso, rookie guard Ayo Dosunmu, and many more. And there’s still a lot to be decided with the Bulls needing to narrow down the roster to 15, and then fill the two-way contract slots, heading into the regular season.

Nonetheless, the focus for now sits on what the Bulls rotation could look like in the preseason opener. The Bulls are set to tip-off against the Cavaliers at home at the United Center on Oct. 5 at 7 p.m. CT.
