Heading into next season, the Chicago Bulls will have more pressure and higher expectations to perform at a contender level than at any point since the 2016-17 season. Executive vice president of basketball operations Arturas Karnisovas and general manager Marc Eversley have put together a starting unit that has bona fide stars ready to contend.
It’s hard to really ever find a time throughout Bulls’ franchise history that a front office put in this much work to elevate the roster by way of the trade market and free agency. The Bulls usually run with the idea that homegrown talent and under-the-radar free agent signings work best.

But the rebuild was not getting the Bulls anywhere under the former front office regime of John Paxson and Gar Forman in the previous three years. Karnisovas and Eversley at least have a brighter outlook for the Bulls franchise in the coming years than GarPax did really since the mid-2010s.
It’s not only the projected starting unit for the Bulls that has fans excited about what’s to come. Despite all of the offloading that Karnisovas and Eversley did from the Bulls’ previous young core within the past year or so, there’s still some intriguing young players on this team heading into next season.
The bench looks stronger as a whole, with a plethora of athleticism and situational defensive stoppers lining the second and third units.
