Chicago Bulls: 4 best options to fill last two-way contract slot
Chicago Bulls’ best options to fill last two-way contract slot: Deividas Sirvydis
Another spot-up shooter that can be lethal from beyond the arc that the Bulls could try to get in the final two-way contract slot ahead of Training Camp and the preseason is the former Pistons shooting guard/small forward Deividas Sirvydis. The insanely lengthy and potent 6-foot-8 and 190-pound second-round draft pick of the Dallas Mavericks didn’t get much of a shot to make a legit impact with the Pistons.
The Pistons only had Sirvydis play in 20 regular season games with them during that tough 2020-21 campaign in the Motor City.
There were two games down the stretch last season where Sirvydis showed flashes of what so many teams think he can become if he reaches his lofty ceiling. He registered 16 points on 6-of-11 shooting from the field and 4-of-7 from beyond the arc in just 19 minutes played in a late-season loss with the Pistons to the Nuggets.
And then, Sirvydis had a solid outing in a May 8 loss to the Philadelphia 76ers with eight points, six rebounds, and one assist. In that game, he shot 3-of-6 from the field and 2-of-4 from beyond the arc.
The Bulls would be trying to tap into some version of Sirvydis that showed up in those games last season against the Nuggets and Sixers to fill a key reserve role on the wing. There’s not another player that the Bulls have with as natural of a shooting stroke and as much length as Sirvydis in the current rotation.
Sirvydis and Dotson would be a very potent and intriguing young duo of players that the Bulls could have signed in the two-way contract slots. At just 21 years of age, Sirvydis could be a really nice value addition for the Bulls in the last remaining two-way contract slot.
