A big day for the Chicago Bulls rounding out the roster for head coach Billy Donovan in free agency occurred to end the long holiday weekend. On Sep. 6, the Bulls signed a duo of forwards that now bring the number of non-two-way contract players on the roster to 15 heading into Training Camp and the preseason.

The two signings that the Bulls transacted on the afternoon of Sep. 6 included the former Toronto Raptors and Detroit Pistons small forward Stanley Johnson and the former Indiana Pacers and Brooklyn Nets power forward Alize Johnson. “Johnson & Johnson” will help to add depth to the wing/forward rotation heading into Training Camp, and there’s some picture of what the 15-man roster could look like for Donovan and the Bulls next season.

Chicago Bulls get deeper on the bench by adding Stanley and Alize Johnson

The Bulls definitely needed help at the four heading into next season, and Alize will provide that for the bench. Some depth on the wing is added, along with some defensive help, in the 25-year-old Stanley.

Moreover, it’s good to see the Bulls making the proper moves to round out the rotation now just three weeks away from the start of Training Camp. And the preseason is less than one month away, with tip-off coming on Oct. 5 at home against the Cleveland Cavaliers.

We now have an idea of what the Bulls could look like top-to-bottom with this rejuvenated rotation that will be looking to push for a deep postseason run in the Eastern Conference next season. That is all thanks to some of the big moves the front office made in free agency this summer.

Here’s a look into three of the most underrated signings for the Bulls this offseason.
