This cycle of free agency is mostly in the books for the Chicago Bulls all things considered. Following the sign-and-trade deal last week with the Cleveland Cavaliers and Portland Trail Blazers to ship off power forward Lauri Markkanen, the Bulls have mostly rounded out the activity in this cycle of free agency.
In that three-team sign-and-trade deal, the Bulls landed small forward Derrick Jones Jr. from Portland. The Bulls also nabbed a lottery-protected future first-round draft pick from Portland and a future second-round draft pick from Cleveland. And then, Markkanen landed with the Cavs and forward Larry Nance Jr. went to the Trail Blazers.

With the Lauri deal now in the rearview mirror, the Bulls can focus on rounding out the rest of this roster for head coach Billy Donovan heading into Training Camp and the preseason. It’s often discussed among Bulls fans still, but this team still has some roster spots to fill out this month ahead of the start of camp.

But the Bulls still need to fill the remaining two-way contract slot and the looming need at the four. Unless the Bulls plan on playing a lot of small ball next season, the front office needs to find another power forward to play in the second unit.
With some of those looming roster needs in mind, here’s a look into four of the top remaining free agents in September for the Bulls.
