Although there was some excitement about what Chicago Bulls fans saw from some of the younger players on the roster during the Las Vegas NBA Summer League last week, there is focus remaining in rounding out this rotation. The Bulls now have about 14 of the 17 roster spots filled out ahead of the start of Training Camp and the preseason.

We’ll have to wait and see if executive vice president of basketball operations Arturas Karnisovas and general manager Marc Eversley decide to bring back any of the players from the Summer League roster that aren’t contracted with the team anyway. Granted, no one really stuck out among the players that weren’t contracted with the Bulls in Vegas.

Chicago Bulls have some roster spots left to fill before the start of the regular season

Of the three remaining roster spots for the Bulls ahead of the start of Training Camp and the preseason, two should be with the final 15-man roster and the other will fill a two-way contract slot. And there should be a few more invitations extended to camp that should help to provide clarity as to who Karnisovas feels would be a good fit with this team.

A few needs stick out for the Bulls after Summer League and free agency. The biggest need on hand for the Bulls at this point is definitely at the four. Considering that fourth-year power forward and restricted free agent Lauri Markkanen likely isn’t headed back to Chicago next season, there’s a gaping hole to fill on the bench at this position.

That would be the main need to address heading into camp. But here’s a look into six of the best options for the Bulls to fill the three remaining roster spots.
