A mixed bag of results throughout the Summer League for the Chicago Bulls provided for a lack of clarity as to how the roster could play out heading into Training Camp and the preseason. If you include the two-way contract slots, the Bulls have three roster spots remaining at this point. There’s even more when you consider the extra spots in Training Camp and the preseason.
There can be some occasional clarity provided to various NBA teams when certain squads perform well in Las Vegas during the Summer League. But the Bulls didn’t really have many players step up on this Summer League team that won’t already be on the 17-man roster heading into next season.

And a lot of the players in the starting unit during Summer League will be with the 15-man roster next season. The only one we know of so far that has a two-way contract is the second-year former Kansas Jayhawks point guard and undrafted free agent signing Devon Dotson.
It is worth noting that the Bulls have a handful of players with their stock trending up after Summer League. That is still a good sign moving forward for what head coach Billy Donovan will have to work with in his rotation next season.
