Lauri Markkanen sign-and-trade targets from the Timberwolves: Malik Beasley

The Bulls could still go after a two-guard in a potential sign-and-trade with the Timberwolves if he were to fill a different role than someone like Caruso and Green. Most of the backup guards that the Bulls have in the mix at the moment are more defensive minded than real offensive threats. All you could really say that Donovan and the Bulls have on the bench in the backcourt unit among true volume scorers is point guard Coby White.

We’ll see how the second-year former Kansas Jayhawks point guard Devon Dotson develops this season alongside the former Illinois Fighting Illini rookie point guard Ayo Dosunmu.

But if the Bulls wanted to go out and get a more proven scoring guard, that would also be more of a sure thing shooting from deep, then Karnisovas should look at shooting guard Malik Beasley. The former Florida State Seminoles star guard Beasley was incredibly productive and potent on offense in the last two seasons.

The Timberwolves are a good fit for Beasley, but if he could translate that production to a different team like the Bulls, he would be a great target to fill a sixth or seventh man role heading into next season. Beasley has averaged around 20 points per game, one offensive rebound, three assists, and just one turnover, since landing with the Timberwolves two seasons ago.

And he shot around 45 percent from the field, 39 percent from beyond the arc, and 85 percent from the charity stripe with the Timberwolves last season.

Beasley could come in for the Bulls and immediately become the most reliable and potent threat behind the likes of Lonzo and star shooting guard Zach LaVine. When second-year forward Patrick Williams is having an off night offensively, Beasley would give the Bulls someone else to plug-and-play off the bench.
