Chicago Bulls trade targets to watch on draft night: Collin Sexton

The likelihood that the Cleveland Cavaliers will part ways with the former Alabama Crimson Tide point guard Collin Sexton this summer have increased it seems of late. If the Cavaliers do decide to move Sexton this offseason, it would come with the assumption that Darius Garland would be their point guard of the future.

The rise to prominence of Sexton really came to the forefront in the season that was. He became a legitimate starting-caliber point guard that you could argue is among the top 15 best in the NBA. Sexton would be a solution that the Bulls could legitimately turn to find their point guard of the future this offseason.

But the question for the Bulls is what cost that would come at to get Sexton from the Cavs.

Given that another year of improvement for Sexton could put him in the realm of All-Star considerations, it could cost the Bulls’ a good amount to get him from the Cavs. There is a possibility that the Bulls could throw in someone like second-year point guard Coby White or fourth-year power forward Lauri Markkanen to this type of trade discussion.

All in all, Sexton should be considered a viable point guard option for the Bulls to fill this positional need during the summer. And draft night presents a legitimate opportunity to see what it would take to get him from the Cavs. Watch out for any moves like this from Karnisovas and the Bulls in the coming weeks.
