Teams that offer the best situations for Chicago Bulls PF Lauri Markkanen: Golden State Warriors

While there are no clear trade targets that the Bulls could find from the Golden State Warriors to get a deal done involving Markkanen going to the Bay Area, this is still an intriguing landing spot for the Finnish former Arizona Wildcats big man. The Warriors are another team out west that are looking to retool the roster around their top stars.

It is clear that the Warriors could still be a contender in the Western Conference if they can find the right supporting cast around the top trio of superstar point guard Stephen Curry, recovering shooting guard Klay Thompson, and forward Draymond Green. But what is the right piece to place in the starting five to namely help the likes of Steph and Klay?

Since the Warriors could use some more length in the starting unit, and someone that is a real threat from the outside, Markkanen could be a good option for them. Head coach Steve Kerr thrives when he has more pieces that can space the floor (namely those that are good fundamental shooters) and give extra length in the frontcourt unit.

The Warriors have more of a traditional big man that they can run in the starting unit with the former Memphis Tiger James Wiseman. Markkanen could be the final piece to the puzzle for the Warriors to try and retool their starting unit around the trio of Steph, Klay, and Draymond this summer. That would be a nice change of scenery for Markkanen to find more consistency too.
