Chicago Bulls guard Zach LaVine has been one of the few bright spots for the organization over the course of the past few NBA seasons. After making his all-star debut during the 2020-21 NBA season, can LaVine continue improving?

It’s easy to see the argument that LaVine won’t be able to take another step forward next season. One could argue he has gotten close to his ceiling and at 26 years old there is only so much room left for growth.

That argument would be short-sighted, though. There are a number of reasons to believe LaVine is going to take yet another step forward during the 2021 NBA offseason, and we’re going to highlight them here.

Chicago Bulls Guard Zach LaVine set for Another Step Forward, Reason No. 3: He has improved every season since joining the Bulls

This one is the easiest and most obvious reason LaVine should be expected to take another step forward entering next season. His track record proves that is what he does and at just 26 years old, why would he stop now?

The scoring guard is entering his physical prime and knows he has a big payday coming when his current contract expires. All the motivation in the world is there for him to take another massive step forward.

In years past he has taken that kind of leap from one season to the next and there wasn’t nearly as much of a track record to go off of. Every time it’s assumed he is reaching his peak as a player, LaVine goes out and takes a bigger step than anyone thought he could.

Betting against him doing so now, after years and years of proving that is what he does, would be foolish. You don’t have to bet on him taking that big step yet again, but you certainly shouldn’t bet against it.
