The time of talk for trade season has arrived, and the Chicago Bulls could be in on some of the discussions among which point guards they should target this summer. It won’t be easy for the Bulls’ front office to find a solution to their point guard need this offseason, but at least there are a plethora of options available.

If only the Bulls had more trade assets to work with this summer, the front office might be able to do more to find the best solution at the point guard position. But a lot of the reason why the Bulls don’t have that many trade assets to work with this summer is the fact that executive vice president of basketball operations Arturas Karnisovas and general manager Marc Eversley gave a lot of them away at the deadline back on March 25.

Finding what to avoid important for the Chicago Bulls this offseason too

The Bulls shipped off two first-round draft picks, center Wendell Carter Jr., and veteran small forward Otto Porter Jr., to the Orlando Magic for a return of star center Nikola Vucevic and veteran forward Al-Farouq Aminu. That was a good portion of the future assets the Bulls had to work with gone right there.

We’ll see how that Vooch trade from the deadline this year works out for the Bulls in the end. But there is something to build around now that inspires postseason hope with the core trio of Vooch, star shooting guard Zach LaVine, and rookie forward Patrick Williams.

There still could be a decently big splash trade on the horizon for Karnisovas and the Bulls this summer. But here’s a look at three trade targets that the Bulls should avoid this offseason at all costs.
