Chicago Bulls: 3 players to give up in a Collin Sexton trade
A successful offseason for the Chicago Bulls would consist of finding the right point guard of the future for this starting unit. The Bulls don’t look to trust combo guard Tomas Satoransky and/or second-year point guard Coby White as the starter at the one moving forward. White might still lie in the future plans for executive VP of basketball operations Arturas Karnisovas and general manager Marc Eversley, but he likely won’t be a starter at the outset of next season.
Meanwhile, the options that are available for the Bulls to go after this summer are plentiful. Names like Lonzo Ball, Dennis Schroder, Chris Paul, Kyle Lowry, and Ben Simmons are commonly mentioned by Bulls fans. There are also some other less frequently discussed options for the Bulls such as Reggie Jackson, Kemba Walker, and even trading up to snag one of the top floor generals in the 2021 NBA Draft.
Collin Sexton an option for the Chicago Bulls via trade to fill the point guard void?
Since the Bulls don’t have a first-round draft pick this year, the option to get someone in this class to be the point guard of the future becomes more difficult.
A potential option that has emerged for Karnisovas and the Bulls on the trade block this summer could be the former Alabama Crimson Tide point guard Collin Sexton. The Cleveland Cavaliers sound very willing to make Sexton available via trade this summer.
The possibility of the Cavs trying to get Simmons from the Philadelphia 76ers this summer was even pitched in a piece from Jason Lloyd of The Athletic last week (paid content).
That could be the solution to the point guard problem that the Bulls are seeking out this year. With that in mind, here’s a look at three players the Bulls should be willing to trade to land Sexton from the Cavs.
