Olympic teammates Zach LaVine should recruit to the Chicago Bulls: Jayson Tatum
It’s not hard to tell at this point that the Boston Celtics are about to undergo one of the more unstable offseasons that the franchise saw in recent years this summer. The Celtics saw Kevin McHale leave the organization this offseason following an early exit to their playoff run. As a result, former head coach Brad Stevens took over as a lead voice in the front office.
Stevens and the Celtics are now likely looking to retool the roster to figure out the best path forward to compete for a top spot in the Eastern Conference. Whether that means the Celtics hang onto their star duo of small forward Jayson Tatum and shooting guard/small forward Jaylen Brown is hard to know at the moment.
What we do know is that Tatum is one of the most potent teammates that LaVine as on this United States squad. Tatum is the lone Celtics player that will be representing the United States. He could be one of the starters for the USA at the three or the four in the Olympics too. That just depends on where he falls in line with the likes of KD, Draymond Green, Khris Middleton, etc.
Yet, LaVine would do well to see what Tatum’s future aspirations are with the Celtics, or looking elsewhere. With so much change occurring at the moment in Boston, Tatum might be considering a change of scenery too. If Tatum was to be on the move in the near future, he would definitely be one of the most sought-after trade targets in the NBA.
