Lakers players the Chicago Bulls could steal away this summer: Talen Horton-Tucker

The appeal of building up a roster with pieces that could be a long-term solution for the rotation is always undeniable. And a good way for a team willing to take a risk on a young player in free agency is through the restricted free agent market. Among impending restricted free agent Lakers this summer, shooting guard/wing Talen Horton-Tucker looks like he would have the greatest draw for the Bulls.

Horton-Tucker elevated his game this season playing alongside the superstar duo of LeBron James and Anthony Davis with the Lakers. And depending on how LeBron and AD feel about the roster this offseason, there could be some roster movement that comes at the detriment of Horton-Tucker.

The former Iowa State Cyclones star and Chicago native seems like he would be a good fit with the Bulls and an instant fan favorite. His developing offensive game could continue to improve with the Bulls, and he’s one of the better young on-ball wing defenders in the league.

Horton-Tucker wouldn’t come in and be a starter right away. He could fill any wing depth issues that the Bulls have, though, behind the likes of Williams and LaVine. The Bulls would get a solid young wing duo to help round out this part of the rotation between Horton-Tucker and the former Washington Wizards shooting guard/small forward Troy Brown Jr. if this move wound up happening.
