Chicago Bulls Value Free Agent Target from the Milwaukee Bucks: P.J. Tucker

Yet again we have an established defender winning out as the best free-agent target for the Bulls to pursue this offseason from the final four teams remaining in the playoffs. This time it is forward P.J. Tucker of the Milwaukee Bucks.

Given how highly regarded he is around the league and the respect most of his peers have for him, Tucker will likely be the most expensive target of the four players on this list. He is also the oldest of the bunch at 36 years old.

Still, if the Bulls have the room to bring him in after addressing some of their other needs either in free agency or via trade, they must consider doing so. Despite being extremely undersized as a big man Tucker has proven time and time again that he is an extremely disruptive player to any frontcourt opponent he is asked to defend.

He is also a very good team defender and could be a big help in the Bulls establishing a stronger defensive culture within the organization. His commitment to that end of the floor and intelligence instantly boosts the defense of any team.

The Bulls need any and every boost they can get defensively. He is also closing in on the $50,000,000 in career earnings number and could value things other than the biggest payday possible.

If that’s the case, all the more reason for the Bulls to strongly consider bringing him in. His boxscores won’t jump out at you but there is a reason nearly every championship contender was interested in trading for him before the Rockets chose to ship him to the Bucks.
