At this point of the offseason, it’s getting very close to the time where the Chicago Bulls will be able to hit the free agent market and trade block to start filling out their rotation. More specifically, the Bulls front office can finally act on filling positional needs and bringing back the certain impending free agents that fans and the media feels would be necessary to elevate this team heading into next season.

All eyes seem to be on what executive vice president of basketball operations Arturas Karnisovas and general manager Marc Eversley plan to do to follow up a big trade deadline day, and how they fill the point guard need. The Bulls don’t have that much cap room, or even a first-round draft pick, to fill these various positional/rotational needs this summer.

Arturas Karnisovas and the Chicago Bulls might be forced to hit the trade market this summer

That is why it feels like there’s a good chance that Karnisovas, Eversley, and the Bulls at least try to hit the trade market to fill out their roster this offseason. The Bulls made some big moves at the trade deadline, acquiring key players such as star center Nikola Vucevic, center Daniel Theis, and shooting guard/small forward Troy Brown Jr., among others.

Taking advantage of the potential opportunity to get in trade talks with a team like the Portland Trail Blazers, Boston Celtics, Indiana Pacers, etc. that are likely to have an offseason filled with roster turnover could be a good move. The Bulls might be able to get some key pieces at cheap prices this summer if they take to that plan.

With that in mind, here’s a look into two players that AK and the Bulls could steal away from the Celtics this offseason, as Brad Stevens moves from the role of head coach to a lead voice in the front office.
