Teams that could Trade for Chicago Bulls Forward Thaddeus Young: Minnesota Timberwolves

The Timberwolves make the list of teams that could trade for Thaddeus Young this offseason despite being in a drastically different position than the two teams mentioned before them. Instead of looking for the right piece(s) to put them over the top, the Timberwolves are looking for the right pieces to get them out of the basement in the Western Conference.

They do not have their first-round pick in the NBA Draft this offseason, just like the Chicago Bulls. What they do have is a very talented one-two punch that needs to start winning games very soon.

There can be no more excuses for a team led by Karl Anthony-Towns and D’Angelo Russell that also features players like Anthony Edwards and Malik Beasley. One of the things they need to address is getting a veteran forward to play alongside Towns in the frontcourt.

The perfect addition could be Thad Young, who could be utilized by the Timberwolves as either a starter or a key Sixth Man in their rotation. He would instantly help both Russell and Towns on the court and would naturally be the great locker room presence he always has been for the young group.

The Timberwolves need an experienced player that understands what it takes and can help lead their young group moving forward. Young could be the right guy to bring in for the final year of his contract and potentially could be brought back following the 2021-22 NBA season.

He’d also be a great veteran presence for the young, promising forwards the Timberwolves have on their roster already. Players like Jaden McDaniels and Jarred Vanderbilt could learn a ton from just one year playing with Young.
