With the Chicago Bulls needing to both find the right supporting cast along with seeking out a point guard of the future this summer, the front office executives will have their plate full. Executive VP of basketball operations Arturas Karnisovas and general manager Marc Eversley did not catch the stroke of luck they were looking for to get back in the draft lottery this year.

That means that the Bulls’ first-round draft pick for this year sticks with the Orlando Magic after the trade that landed star center Nikola Vucevic in the Windy City. The Bulls also shipped off third-year center Wendell Carter Jr., veteran small forward Otto Porter Jr., along with the two first-round draft picks to the Magic for the return of Vooch and forward Al-Farouq Aminu.

The Bulls will now hold just the 38th overall pick in the second round of the 2021 NBA Draft. That could still result in some good value for Karnisovas and the Bulls, but they definitely have fewer resources to work with this summer without a lottery pick.

Chicago Bulls can turn to a team like the Knicks to find answers for rotation depth

Finding the right supporting cast is the broader goal at hand for the Bulls front office to handle this summer. And there are quite a few avenues that Karnisovas and the Bulls can turn to find support in their rotation around the core trio of forward Patrick Williams, star shooting guard Zach LaVine and Vooch.

One team that the Bulls can look to that could have a few pieces hitting free agency and available on the trade block that could serve some utility for this roster is the New York Knicks. Here’s a look into two undervalued players that Karnisovas could steal away from the Knicks this offseason.
