One of the more under-the-radar point guard prospects in this draft, Rokas Jokubaitas has played three seasons in the second most competitive basketball league on earth before turning 21. In his first two seasons with Zalgiris, the Lithuanian saw little playing time but made great use of his minutes in his third professional season.

A solid offensive talent, Jokubaitis is a good three-point shooter who can serve as a playmaker for his teammates when necessary. One of the bigger draws to Jokubaitis is his combo-guard abilities, as he excels both with and without the basketball on offense. His athleticism will limit him in the NBA, though, as he is not particularly fast or strong enough to compete inside. However, his skill set is a very valuable one in the NBA today.

Defensively, Jokubaitis is nothing to write home about, and probably never will be, once again due to a lack of athleticism. His role in the NBA will likely be on the perimeter as a spot-up shooter and secondary ball-handler off of the bench, which he has proven to be capable of during his time in the EuroLeague.

Jokubaitis is unlikely to hear his name called in the first round of this draft, but he is someone who could very realistically outplay his draft position. Shooting threats and playmakers appear to be the future of this league, and though Jokubaitis isn’t a marquee draft talent, he should transition well to the National Basketball Association.
