Future All-Stars the Chicago Bulls could get in the top four: Cade Cunningham

The likely first overall pick in the 2021 NBA Draft Lottery will be the former Oklahoma State Cowboys superstar freshman point guard Cade Cunningham. A consensus All-American and the top-ranked 2020 high school hoops recruit in the nation was a stud for Oklahoma State as a true freshman, and has clear All-Star potential at the next level.

Cunningham stands at 6-foot-8 and 220 pounds and does almost everything well from the point guard position. For the Bulls to have a chance to draft Cunningham, it would likely take them getting the first or second overall pick in the lottery. But that is still at least a slight possibility for them on this night.

The Arlington, TX, native is a very good defender one-on-one and off-ball shoots the ball well from the field and from deep, can get to the line at a high rate, manages the ball well as a primary facilitator, and runs well in transition. It’s hard to find a prospect as young as Cunningham that has a game this well-rounded in any draft class.

The Bulls would obviously be able to fill their biggest positional need this offseason (at point guard) right away if they can really luck out and draft Cunningham. He would be an immediate upgrade to anything they have on the roster now and most options that could come their way in free agency this summer.
