Future All-Stars the Chicago Bulls could get in the top four: Evan Mobley

About every award you could want as a true freshman came the way of the final two players on this list that did take to the traditional college route. But the first name up here is one that could truly solidify the interior presence for the Bulls. Former USC Trojans star freshman center and five-star recruit Evan Mobley.

It would be interesting to see how the Bulls could mesh a frontcourt unit that included both Mobley and Vooch. But if this was a possibility in this draft class, then it would be difficult for Karnisovas and the Bulls to overlook drafting Mobley.

Mobley was a true stud in USC’s frontcourt rotation during his true freshman campaign. He stands at 7-foot and 215 pounds. He also has a wingspan just north of 7-foot-4. Given his insane physical tools (namely his standing reach), it’s easy to see how Mobley would be expected to be a dominant interior force and rim protector in the NBA.

He averaged roughly three blocks per game during his time at USC, and should be able to fit a role similar to that of Myles Turner in the paint on defense.

It would be nice to see Mobley improve his range on offense, but he is developing a more fundamental shooting stroke and he can distribute the ball pretty well for a big man. Hitting the offensive glass hard is also something that Mobley brings to the table.

In all likelihood, a good situation for the Bulls to draft Mobley would be if they landed in the four spot in this draft lottery and he was the best player available on the board at the time.
