Stars Chicago Bulls’ SG Zach LaVine has praised: Damian Lillard

There are actually some interesting social media moments that have emerged between the Bulls star shooting guard LaVine and the Portland Trail Blazers superstar point guard Damian Lillard in the past few years. Namely, the downs of the connection on social media between LaVine and Lillard have come when other controversies arise when they play each other during the regular season.

The latest case of that was Lillard essentially laughing away a post on social media saying that the Bulls, and specifically LaVine, owned the Blazers. Granted, that was a Bulls fan that had posted the tweet about LaVine and the Bulls owning the Blazers. That had nothing to do with LaVine directly.

Moreover, Lillard had knocked down a game-winning three-pointer in the final seconds of that outing against the Bulls to notch his team the win before responding to that tweet.

Outside of that indirect social media exchange between Lillard and LaVine, most is just common respect and lauding getting thrown to the Blazers superstar. LaVine, along with a good portion of NBA Twitter as a whole, praised Lillard for that insane 55-point performance he dropped in the playoffs earlier this month. LaVine has posted similar tweets in the past with electrifying performances from Lillard, and other guards like him.

The respect is clearly there between LaVine and Lillard. They look to be fans of each other, which makes sense.

And while it sounds great for the Bulls to be able to trade for Lillard from the Blazers this summer, the odds of that happening never looked good and are even slimmer now than they were a few weeks back.
