Underrated prospects to watch for the Chicago Bulls at the combine: Johnny Juzang

A personal favorite potential draft target of mine that the Bulls could look into throughout the scouting process is the former UCLA Bruins standout 6-foot-6 and 210-pound shooting guard Johnny Juzang. This sophomore star really broke through with the Bruins in the NCAA Tournament, helping lead them to that magical run to the Final Four where they ultimately fell short to the top-seed Gonzaga Bulldogs.

Juzang had questions surrounding his outside game, increased turnovers, and ability to distribute the ball as a tertiary playmaker with UCLA last season. Those questions likely will not be answered throughout this process, but seeing how his vision has progressed in the past few months will be a storyline to watch at the combine.

During his sophomore campaign at UCLA, Juzang averaged 16 points per game, four rebounds, one assist, one steal, and 0.5 blocks. And he shot 44 percent from the field, 35 percent from beyond the arc, and 88 percent from the free-throw line.

Given that Juzang was one of the most improved guards in the PAC-12 season, and he provides excellent length to contend on both ends of the floor, he could actually be a pretty high upside pick in this draft. The questions remain with his occasionally lacking on-ball defending ability and getting careless with the ball at times on offense.

Juzang is likely to fall off of the board right around where the Bulls are picking in the second round. Watch out for him to be a name that the Bulls could be interested in for the next six weeks.
