There are a few teams that find themselves in the midst of some turmoil with the NBA playoffs raging on. Two of the more noted situations at the moment come with the Portland Trail Blazers and Boston Celtics. The Celtics and Trail Blazers both underwent recent coaching changes, with some pretty big names shifting around. These teams find themselves in a more similar position to the Chicago Bulls from the pause last year.
A tremendous amount of uncertainty loomed last summer as to what the Bulls would do under a new front office regime, as well as to how much would actually change in a positive sense. But it does seem like the front office pairing of Arturas Karnisovas and Marc Eversley has a much brighter future in-store, at least in the near term than John Paxson and Gar Forman were headed in.

Moreover, the Celtics especially have a large amount of uncertainty this offseason. Former head coach Brad Stevens left his post to head up the front office entering the offseason in place of Kevin McHale. It’s hard to know which of the big names on the Celtics roster will actually be around heading into next season.
