One player at each position for the Chicago Bulls to target this summer: Richaun Holmes, C
Depending on what happens this offseason with impending free agents like Markkanen and Theis, the Bulls are going to have a lot of work to do to fill out the frontcourt rotation. Big man Cristiano Felicio is also set to hit free agency. Granted, the Bulls definitely should not think about re-signing Felicio.
The point is that the Bulls have lost a good bit of frontcourt since the trade deadline, and they’ll have to make up for that somewhere. Unless the Bulls 2020 second-round draft pick, big man Marko Simonovic, is already ready to come over to the NBA as soon as next season, Karnisovas needs to find answers elsewhere.
That should involve at least one free agent signing at either the four or the five. A good option for the Bulls to start to round out the frontcourt rotation this summer could be the Sacramento Kings 6-foot-10 and 235-pound center Richaun Holmes. As one of the more underrated impending free agents among big men, Holmes could be a nice find for the Bulls.
If the salary of Holmes this summer stays within the eight figures range, then it would be hard for a team like the Bulls to pass up on him. He could be a nice sixth or seventh man in the rotation, or starter alongside Vooch.
Honorable Mention: Zach Collins
Another potential free agent target from the Blazers is the impending RFA and power forward/center Zach Collins. A nice floor spacing big man that still has a lot of room for growth in his game, Collins would be an impactful signing for a team like the Bulls.
