Finding a solution to the Chicago Bulls point guard problem is something that is a hot topic of discussion early in the offseason. The Bulls need some help at point guard to round out their starting five heading into next season. Head coach Billy Donovan mostly relied on second-year point guard Coby White and combo guard Tomas Satoransky to split time at the one this season.

Splitting time between White and Sato likely isn’t going to be the long-term solution for the Bulls at point guard. Thus, finding that long-term solve at this position is an underlying theme for the summer in Chicago.

Finding the right fit at the one is also of the utmost importance for the Bulls so that the staff can maximize the abilities of star shooting guard Zach LaVine and center Nikola Vucevic. While the Bulls don’t necessarily need to find a star to slot alongside those two, finding the right point guard fit is critical.

Some of the most hotly discussed potential targets at the one include Lonzo Ball of the New Orleans Pelicans, Damian Lillard of the Portland Trail Blazers, and Kemba Walker of the Boston Celtics, among others. The Bulls might have to consider a route other than free agency to find the right point guard too.

It is important to realize which point guards are not only the right fit with this starting unit but which ones the front office should avoid. Here’s a look at three point guards in particular that don’t fit well with LaVine.
