Current Chicago Bulls players Michael Jordan would love as a teammate: Daniel Theis

It wasn’t just always about raw production and efficiency that made you an acceptable teammate for Jordan to play with on the Bulls. Mindset and a winning mentality tended to make someone a compatible teammate with Jordan more so than anything else, especially in the postseason. That involves doing things like making the dirty plays on both ends of the floor, playing solid defense, and pushing players in the right direction in the locker room and practice.

And that’s what it seems like Jordan could have out of a teammate in the 29-year-old 6-foot-8 and 245 pound center Daniel Theis. This is one impending free agent that Karnisovas and the Bulls should try and bring back heading into next season. Theis would be a nice piece of the Bulls frontcourt rotation moving forward if he is re-signed in Chicago.

The former Boston Celtics center Theis was solid for the Bulls on both ends of the floor. He rebounds the ball well, can protect the rim, and do a lot of what any coach would ask on the offensive end of the floor. As a solid two-way big man that can fill a number of support roles or be effective in a starting unit, it’s hard to imagine Jordan wouldn’t appreciate what Theis brings to the table.

It also feels like Theis just has that winning mentality to do whatever it takes to make sure his team ends up on the right side of the win column. That is something Jordan was able to do effectively in the latter years of his career. His counting stats weren’t the same as what they were in his earlier years, but he commanded the game better and knew what it took to win.
