Bulls fans have discussed ad nauseam about the potential of a Lonzo Ball to Chicago trade throughout the season. And with it being reported that the Bulls even offered the Pelicans a package for the guard surrounding Markkanen, it would make sense that a deal could be in the works during the offseason.

For the Pelicans, they receive some much-needed shooting in the form of Markkanen, who while spacing the floor for Zion Williamson and Brandon Ingram, finally gives that New Orleans frontcourt some more depth. On the other side, the Bulls get an elite defender and passer at the point guard spot who can immediately slide next to LaVine and play big minutes.

There is no need to wait around on Lonzo’s potential because the Bulls wouldn’t need him to be a big scorer. The talents he already possesses now fit the needs of this team perfectly. It’s a match made in heaven that if AK and the front office can pull off, will surely see the Bulls break into the playoffs next season.
