Free agents the Chicago Bulls can add to support Zach LaVine: JaMychal Green

Two potential acquisitions for the Bulls this offseason that I mentioned in a piece this week detailing what the starting five could look like next season ideally involved both Lonzo and the Denver Nuggets veteran 6-foot-8 and 230-pound 30-year-old power forward JaMychal Green. As a well-traveled NBA journeyman at this point of his career, Green would bring a plethora of valuable postseason experience to the table for LaVine and the Bulls.

Getting that final push to get this roster into the postseason is a key task for the Bulls front office this summer. And what better way to do that in a manner that won’t make too much noise than by signing an underrated player that can contribute in improving the success in the win column like Green. And the way that Green could fit into this rotation could be seamless moving forward.

Green is a versatile enough player to slot in the starting five alongside the likes of forward Patrick Williams and Vooch. Or he could help to round out the frontcourt rotation in a reserve role along with other pieces like former Boston Celtics center Daniel Theis and veteran forward Thaddeus Young.

The Nuggets are trying to make a postseason run at the moment as one of the top seeds in the Western Conference. It will be interesting to see how Green progresses in the postseason, and if he can make a case to Karnisovas and the Bulls that he would be worth signing this summer. He looks like he could be a key support piece to LaVine by most indicators right now.
