Where former members of the Chicago Bulls core are at now?

Daniel Gafford, C

Starting off this list are a handful of former Bulls players that are now suiting up for a different team around the NBA. And what better way to start out this portion of the list than with a player that is really doing well with his new team. Former Bulls and Arkansas Razorbacks center Daniel Gafford is playing well for a Washington Wizards team that is now facing the top-seeded Philadelphia 76ers in the first round of the playoffs.

Gafford’s production really took off since he left the Bulls back on March 25. In 23 games played with the Wizards down the stretch during the regular season, Gafford averaged 10.1 points per game, 5.6 rebounds, 0.5 assists, 0.7 steals, and 1.8 blocks. He also registered a sparkling 133 offensive rating/106 defensive rating, 4.4 box plus/minus rating, and .235 win shares per 48 minutes, in his time with the Wizards during the regular season.

While it’s hard to question the Bulls adding a younger talent like the 21-year-old shooting guard/small forward Troy Brown Jr. in that trade that sent Gafford to the Wizards, reflecting on this trade in a negative light is easy to do now.

Chandler Hutchison, SF

The other former Bulls player and former first-round draft pick of GarPax in 2018 that was shipped off to the Wizards at the trade deadline is the former Boise State Broncos third-year small forward Chandler Hutchison. This 6-foot-7 and 210 pound wing has played better since landing with the Wizards than he did with the Bulls in the prior few seasons.

He played in more than double the amount of games with the Wizards post-trade deadline than he did with the Bulls this season. And in the 18 games he played in with the Wizards down the stretch in the regular season, Hutch averaged 5.2 points per game, 3.2 rebounds, 0.7 assists, 0.6 steals, and 0.3 blocks. He shot an improved 40 percent from the field, 36.8 percent from beyond the arc, and 82.6 percent from the free-throw line.
