Players Chicago Bulls Coby White Should Study in the Playoffs: Dennis Schroder

Starting off the list is the youngest of the players Coby White should watch closely in the NBA playoffs. Ironically, he is also a potential fit as a point guard the Bulls should pursue in free agency this off-season.

Schroeder and the Los Angeles Lakers could have a lot of games to play in the playoffs, so there could be plenty of opportunities for White to watch him closely. Coming off winning the Sixth Man of the Year Award last season, this year Schroeder is the Lakers starting point guard.

He is certainly a more natural scorer than he is distributor. While not overly similar to White in regards to physical attributes or even how he is best at scoring the ball, there is a lot White can learn from watching him play.

Coby should have a close eye on how he plays throughout games because of his teammates more than anything else. Like White, Schroder plays on a team that features two elite offensive threats. This is not saying Zach LaVine and Nikola Vucevic are at the level of LeBron James and Anthony Davis, they are not.

All it means is White can learn a lot from how Schroder plays off the ball with those two players possessing it so often. Also, how does he pick and choose his spots throughout the course of the game?

Like Davis, Vooch is a very good passer for a big man and he also stretches the floor. Playing off him should lead to open looks for all teammates and White could pick up some tricks from the Lakers starting point guard.
