Chicago Bulls players who exceeded expectations in 20-21: Zach LaVine

Given that the production of Vooch dipped a bit once he came over from the Magic to the Bulls, it was hard to give him the final spot on this list. That means that it must go to the former UCLA Bruins 6-foot-6 star 26-year-old shooting guard Zach LaVine, who had another career year for the Bulls.

It’s difficult to figure out what the ceiling actually will be for LaVine moving forward. He set a new standard for himself during the 2019-20 campaign by averaging around 25 points per game, four assists, and five rebounds. But he went to a whole new level this season by averaging more than 27 points per game, and around five rebounds and five assists.

And the efficiency in which LaVine shot the ball during the regular season was new for him too. He nearly became a member of the 50/40/90 club, but his free-throw shooting percentage finished the regular season around 85.

Nonetheless, LaVine will clearly be a threat next season to get his second career All-Star nod as a member of the Bulls. He got his first career All-Star nod this year and truly solidified his star status around the NBA to silence any doubters. Finding some level of postseason success is the next main task at hand for LaVine.
