At this point of his career, star former UCLA Bruins shooting guard Zach LaVine actually doesn’t have as good of odds to make it into the Hall of Fame as Vooch does. But that is largely thanks to the additional years of experience in the NBA and one more All-Star nod for the newly acquired Bulls big man compared to LaVine.

LaVine is definitely on the up and up at the moment, though. He got his first career All-Star nod this year, and very arguably could’ve got that selection last year. When All-Star Weekend was hosted at the United Center in Chicago, it felt like there was a really good chance that LaVine was going to be part of the festivities last year.

Not only did LaVine get his first career All-Star nod this year, he’s a legitimate threat to get All-NBA level considerations. Both he and Vooch could be contenders to get those honors.

The pace that LaVine is on now could make him a multi-year All-Star selection and All-NBA Team selection as he rolls into the prime years of his career. The numbers he’s putting up over the course of the last two seasons are special. This season, he’s averaged just shy of 28 points per game, five rebounds, five assists, one steal, and one block. And he’s shot 51 percent from the field, 42 percent from beyond the arc, and 85 percent from the free-throw line.

At this pace, LaVine should only increase his Hall of Fame odds in the years to come. But the main goal for both LaVine and Vooch to try and reach in the near future is making a solid playoff run. Neither has come very close as of yet to making a deep playoff run, let alone contending for a ring.
