Coby White and Lauri Markkanen remain the centerpieces of a three-team deal

This trade deal essentially has some players and picks getting swapped in and out, but it has a lot of similarities to the previous three-team trade listed here with the Spurs. Instead of the Spurs getting a few key players and future draft capital involved, the Bulls and Wizards add the Central Division foe Cleveland Cavaliers to the deal.

The Cavs actually do have a rather intriguing amount of player and draft capital to work with in the immediate future. Given a weird cap sheet and a lot of projected future lottery picks, the Cavaliers could do a lot on the trade block this offseason. That is hypothetically why they could be such a good trade partner in this deal.

In this swap, the Cavaliers get off of the money of shooting guard/wing Cedi Osman (who is one of the least efficient players with a usage rate over 22 percent this season). But mainly they ship off forward Larry Nance Jr., a lottery-protected future first-round draft pick, and center Jarrett Allen (sign-and-trade), to the Wizards for a return specifically of former Gonzaga Bulldogs big man and top 10 lottery pick Rui Hachimura.

The Bulls still wind up shipping off the likes of Markkanen and Sato to a third team in this trade deal, with those two going to the Cavaliers. And then they also send off White, their 2022 second-round pick, and Young to the Wizards. That is a lot to give up, but might be worth it in the end to land Beal.
