All chips must be on the table for first-year head coach Billy Donovan and the Chicago Bulls down the stretch this season. It doesn’t really seem fathomable that the Bulls could even miss out on the play-in tournament next month given all the moves made back at the trade deadline.

But here we are nonetheless.

Next up for Donovan and the Bulls on the night of April 30 is a meeting with the divisional foe Milwaukee Bucks at home at the United Center. In the final game of the month of April, the Bulls will be looking to take advantage of a Bucks team that could be down superstar forward and reigning back-to-back MVP Giannis Antetokounmpo.

The Bulls will head into this meeting with the Bucks with a record of 26-36. They are coming off a tough double-digit loss at the hands of their former head coach Tom Thibodeau and the New York Knicks on the road at Madison Square Garden on April 28.

Any salvation for the Chicago Bulls playoff hopes down the stretch

To avoid extending their losing streak to two games heading into the weekend, the Bulls need to pull off the upset win over the Bucks. Even if Milwaukee is down Giannis due to an ankle injury he suffered in a loss to the Houston Rockets on April 29, that will be a tough feat for this team.

This will also be a testing ground for Bulls players that are hoping to stick around with this team beyond the looming offseason. Here’s a look at three Bulls players who could be competing for roster spots for next season down the stretch.
